M. L. Willick & Associates Ltd. is a consulting firm that specializes in forest industry development, government relations, negotiations, policy analysis and policy impacts. In 2009, Michael Willick acted as the Interim CEO for the Centre for Research and Innovation in the Bio-Economy where he was responsible for the initial organization.
Most recently, Mike served as the Assistant Deputy Minister, Science and Information Management Division for the Province of Ontario. In this position he had executive responsibility for the natural resource science and information management programs within the Ministry of Natural Resources.
Mike has a wide range of executive government including policy and program development, stakeholder relations, negotiations and operations. He has also managed a successful lumber firm by diversifying the product mix and growing the customer base to result in a three-fold increase in annual sales over a seven-year period.
Mike has been the Chair of the National Forest Strategy Coalition, Director of FPInnovations, Director of FERIC, and Director of the Ontario Lumber Manufacturers' Association.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the University of New Brunswick and is a Registered Professional Forester.
